dScience Annual Report 2024 Now Available

The dScience Annual Report 2024 is now published, summarising a year of growth, collaboration, and innovation in computational and data science at the University of Oslo.

Key Highlights from 2024:

 

  • 35 events with over 2,300 participants, including Data Science Day 2024 (400+ attendees), dScience lunch seminars, high-impact workshops, and other conferences
  • dScience Partner Program expanded, welcoming City of Oslo and strengthening industry and public sector collaborations
  • DSTrain Programme: A five-year postdoctoral initiative co-funded by the EU, receiving 346 applications and selecting 18 fellows.
  • TRUST AI Centre Proposal submitted, aiming to position Norway as a leader in trustworthy AI.
  • Data Science Analytics Group (DSAG): Provided targeted support to 100+ researchers, addressing challenges in data science, machine learning, and high-performance computing.
  • Industry-driven research initiatives, including projects with NBIM, DNB, and SINTEF on AI, climate risk, and digital twins.
