Colour palette
UiO's signature colours covers a wide range of needs.
The rich colour palette is a core pillar of our design manual. All the colours in the palette can be used freely – except from the red colour reserved for seals on diplomas.
This page contains an overview of all the colours of the palette, complete with different kinds of colour codes (RGB, CMYK, HEX). Some of the colours are in regular use at uio.no and other places, and we include information about this usage as well.
When choosing your colours ...
- Make sure that there is sufficient contrast between the colours you choose for text and background. If in doubt, consult our colour accessibility guidelines for UiO's colour palette.
- Stay with the colours included in our colour palette, but note that percentages of the colours can be used as well.
- Beware that colours can be affected by light, the material it is printed on, etc. Make sure to include the correct colour codes when contacting printing companies and other suppliers.
