Application for researcher housing at UiO

Application process

1. Open the form Information from Applicant (Word) on your computer (click for PDF).
2. Carefully complete the form. Please make sure to complete all applicable fields.
3. Submit the completed form to your contact person at your host department at UiO at your earliest convenience.
4. Based on the information provided in the form, your host department will formally apply for housing on your behalf to the Researcher Housing Office at UiO.

Available housing

Researcher apartments

• 44 apartments (studio-, one and two bedroom apartments) in the immediate vicinity or with convenient public transportation to the University Campus at Blindern
• Rent period: 2 - 12 months
• Offered on a monthly basis with the contractual month fixed from the first to the last day of the month

Student accommodation (SiO Housing)

• Note: Only available to single researchers under the age of 40.
• 85 single accommodations at SiO Housing
• Only housing can be guaranteed, not type of housing. Hence there is no need to specify type of housing at SiO, that will come at a later stage. 
• Rent period: 2-12 months
• Offered on a monthly basis with the contractual month fixed from 1./16. to 15./last day of the month
• Rent per month: Add 20% to the prices found on www.sio.no
