Implementation of the Basic Collective Agreement 2023

The Basic Collective Agreement negotiated in 2023 is completed.

Background

The Basic Collective Agreement negotiated in 2023 is completed. The Collective Agreements apply from 1 May 2023, even if the implementation of the changes takes time.

The changes include, among other things:

- LO and YS follow similar Collective Agreements

- Akademikerne and Unio follow similar Collective Agreements, which also cover employees who are not organized in a union

- The salary table (A-table) is now only used for members of LO and YS. For members of the Akademikerne, Unio and employees who are not members of a trade union, salaries are stated as an amount in NOK.

- Salary frameworks and salary options have been discontinued as a model for promotion according to public service seniority (“tjenesteansiennitet”) and replaced by salary tracks with promotion according to seniority in the position (“stillingsansiennitet”).

How are the changes implemented?

The new salary table will be updated in July 2023. The salary table has been updated for members of LO and YS. This means that members of LO and YS will be paid in arrears from 1 May 2023.

For Akademikerne, Unio and employees who are not organised, no central supplements have been given, as everything has been added to local negotiations at UiO. These local negotiations will be completed within October 31Th.
