As of 1 May 2023, the basic amount is NOK 118.620 per year and NOK 9885 per month.
The amount is regulated by Parliament as of 1 May every year.
The basic amount is also used as a starting point for the calculation of many of the payments made by the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund, and for coordinating these with the Norwegian Social Insurance Scheme.
