- Backdating up to 2 days can be accepted in the following cases:
- The employee has contacted the issuer of the medical certificate on the first day of illness, but has not been given an appointment or been able to attend the appointment
- The employee has long-term sick leave and is regularly monitored by the issuer of the medical certificate.
- In the event of backdating beyond 2 days, you must clarify with the employee whether the issuer of the medical certificate has explained this in more detail to NAV.
Backdated medical certificates
Only in special cases backdated medical certificates can be accepted.
