Guidelines
- The project must have been awarded, and the project contract must have been signed.
- The PhD candidate's project must be a part of the coordinated project.
- The project leader (coordinator) receives the KD position. It is a prerequisite for the incentive that the coordinator has research activity at MN for the whole duration of KD position.
- If the project leader does not have a permanent position at UiO, the PhD project must have an explicit connection to the PL's research group, and it is recommended that three supervisors are appointed. Furthermore, the department must have approved that the (EU) project is applied for with someone in a temporary position as its coordinator, and the recipient must have a work contract extending beyond the PhD period.
- The project leader can receive only one KD position through this incentive during Horizon Europe
- The project leader can at all times have only one KD position from this incentive
- The KD position is awarded through the Faculty's annual process
- The MN Faculty’s EU-team must be included in the EU project’s application process. It will assist you throughout the entire application process, beyond technical assistance such as budgeting and help with the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
It is emphasized that the purpose of this incentive is to promote the PL's scientific career, and to compensate for the negative impacts the application process may have on the recipient's scientific progress and production.
