The opening hours for the Card Centre will change to 10–13 from Monday to Friday. Students will no longer need to book appointments. Both staff, students, PhD candidates, and guests can turn up at the entrance during the opening hours and queue up.
Why do I need an access card?
The card automatically provides students or staff access to buildings and areas related to the institute or unit they are affiliated with. You can also use the card for printing, scanning, and copying documents as well as borrowing books from the University of Oslo Library. The card also serves as identification when you are at UiO. It is a personal card and should not be lent or transferred to others in any manner.
What happens to SiO Customer Service?
Earlier this year, SiO terminated both the lease agreement for the premises in Kristian Ottosens and the agreement to produce access cards for UiO. SiO Customer Service also used the premises for the front desk and housing office. From 30th September, SiO Customer Service will offer these services in Domus Athletica.
