Requirements
RITMO Faculty and recruits can apply for funding for research stays abroad lasting from one to twelve months. The stay must be relevant for the applicant’s academic and scientific development.
What does the grant cover?
The funding covers the costs of settling in and other extra expenses connected with the research stay. It is also possible to apply for funding to cover one round-trip travel costs (cheapest mode of travel). Applicants may seek funding to cover travel costs for a spouse/partner and children under the age of 18, provided that the research stay funding has been awarded for at least three months.
The family members must reside together with the fellowship-holder/researcher for close to or the entire research stay abroad. The grant does not cover travel costs for visits by family members.
It is possible to apply for visa expenses and to cover documented tuition costs.
The grant is disbursed as a travel advance and may be taxed depending on what expenses the grant covers.
