There will be noise near Domus Medica this fall, as the construction of the new National Hospital proceeds.
There will at intervals be drilling and wire sawing in the construction pit on the west side of Domus Medica, towards the stream, in the coming weeks.
There will also be noise through September when the demolition and chiseling of the tram stop at Rikshospitalet will take place. Overhead tram lines and tracks towards the Gaustadalléen stop will be removed, and this noise can impact the extension to Domus Medica.
The parking garage at the former main entrance to Rikshospitalet will be demolished in the coming weeks, and this noise will also be noticeable at Domus Medica.
The contractor will be digging along Gaustadalléen and Klaus Torg?rds vei, and there will be a period with only one lane when driving to the garage at Domus Medica or to the loading dock.
Note also that the Medical Library is relocating from Rikshospitalet on September 17. Their new premises will be in building 10 at Gaustad Hospital, and they will reopen there on October 7.
