Noise ahead: From week 15 work will begin on a new sheet pile in the construction pit on the west side of Domus Medica, near Gaustadbekken. This will involve significant noise, but not as close to us as before. Work will start at Gaustadbekken and gradually move closer to us. The nearest drilling will be 50 meters away, but this is not expected to happen until after Easter. Local noise reduction will be used. Daily blasting will also continue in the coming weeks and will come increasingly closer to us.
Tram: The latest update is that the tram will return in the second half of May at the earliest, but it could also be in June.
Blasting at the former parking basement: The patient hotel is scheduled to be fully demolished by the end of May. The contractor will then start blasting where the parking basement of the National Hospital Rikshospitalet was previously located, near the old main entrance. Access to the rotunda will be closed or rerouted at times.
June: The contractor will install a sheet pile along the road 30 meters from the facade of Domus Medica. This can be quite noisy. It is unclear how long this will last, but new information for affected parties will be provided before work begins. Local noise reduction will be used.
Cyclists on the pedestrian bridge: The pedestrian bridge adjacent to the facade on the west side of Domus Medica has been used by several cyclists. Please note that the bridge is intended for pedestrians only.
Exams: Exam dates are reported to the contractor, who will take them into consideration when performing noisy work.
