"This shows that Store Norske Leksikon is a very important channel for disseminating research-based and quality-assured knowledge to the public," says Dean Anne Julie Semb. She extends her gratitude to all the contributors from the faculty.

"We live in a time where the distinction between what is true and what many believe is true is under pressure, and where an increasing number of echo chambers contribute to reducing trust in research-based knowledge," she continues.

The articles on fascism, Nazism, and the welfare state are all among the four most-read articles in Store Norske Leksikon over the past year. The academic supervisors for the articles are Anders Ravik Jupsk?s (C-REX) and Signy Irene Vabo (ISV). A total of 184 UiO employees contribute to the encyclopedia.
