Jonas Hallén, PhD, Chief Medical Officer, Co-Founder, Calluna Pharma
More about the speaker and his talk
Jonas Hallén is a biotech entrepreneur, drug developer and physician-scientist. He has over 10 years’ experience in drug development and various medical roles in the pharmaceutical industry at Boehringer Ingelheim, Pronova BioPharma and Novartis.
Calluna Pharma is a global fibrosis and inflammation-focused biotech company. Before Calluna Pharma’s formation, Jonas co-founded Arxx Therapeutics where he served as a Chief Medical & Development Officer. He holds an MD from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD in cardiovascular disease from the University of Oslo.
In his talk he will share experience from his personal journey and the journey from Arxx Therapeutics to Calluna Pharma.

Tereza Evangelista, PhD, Lead Organic Chemistry Scientist, GE Healthcare
More about the speaker and her talk
Tereza Evangelista completed a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry in 2022 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, which included a research stay at the University of Stavanger, Norway. Currently, she works as a Lead Organic Chemistry Scientist in the R&D department at GE Healthcare, focusing on the development of new contrast media agents across different imaging modalities.
Previous roles include serving as a lecturer in organic chemistry at the university level and working as a researcher at Borregaard Biorefinery. With deep expertise in organic synthesis, particularly within pharmaceutically active compounds, Tereza tries to combine academic rigor with industrial innovation in the field of organic chemistry.

You will also meet two student initiatives supported by the UiO Growth House.

About the innovation hangouts
This is an informal meeting place where students and researchers from the University of Oslo (UiO) can interact with actors from the public sector, hospitals, companies, mentors, business clusters and incubators within UiO's innovation ecosystem. We will provide inspirational talks, talks from role models, matchmaking, food and beverages, and mingling.
The overall goal of the UiO Growth House is to strengthen the innovation culture at UiO to put more knowledge from research to use. With this meeting place, we want to inspire researchers and students, give them self-confidence and knowledge about the innovation process, help them build networks, and facilitate collaboration between academia and industry.
The UiO Growth House established the innovation hangouts in collaboration with clusters in 2022. The events are arranged quarterly in the afternoon/evening.
