Internship for students 2023: Registration opened for companies
Companies that want to offer summer jobs through the internship programme supported by the Life Science Growth House, can now sign up to attend in 2023. We hope to offer as many students as possible a summer job through the programme. Companies of any size are welcome to fund an unlimited number of summer jobs. The Growth House covers 50 per cent of the salary of 20 positions in small and medium-sized companies. You apply for support when you register your company – first come, first served!
The aim of the internship programme is to introduce students to alternative career paths where they can utilise their knowledge and competence. The programme is run by student innovation associations at Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and students from the two faculties can attend the programme. The feedback from both students and companies that have attended the programme so far has been overwhelmingly positive.
Student entrepreneurship: Congratulations to Zimmer Digital with STUD-ENT funding!
Zimmer Digital is a VR simulation programme with the aim of reducing the gap between the classroom and the treatment room for medical students.
Zimmer Digital was the first project that received support from the Growth House autumn 2021 through seed funding, counselling from our innovation advisers and mentoring from an external business executive.
Now the team of students from UiO and NTNU, led by medical student at UiO Mari Zimmermann, has been granted NOK 1 million as well as a NOK 30 000 mentoring package from the Innovation Norway student entrepreneurship programme STUD-ENT.
The student organisation Insj UiO assisted them in the application process.
