The innovation conference Science Impact 2023 – tomorrow's solutions start today 27 September is a meeting place for academia, the institute sector, the public sector, start-ups and industry that are developing solutions within health and environment. Spend a day with excellent science, innovation and networking opportunities!
We zoom in on the human brain, heart, body and planetary health; and dive into energy production (wind and solar) and storage (battery and hydrogen) to give you cutting-edge research and development from the University of Oslo, Oslo University Hospital, SINTEF, start-ups from the innovation ecosystem in Oslo and companies.
How do we develop solutions to secure a sustainable health system that will have fewer resources in the future? How can we maintain a healthier population to start with? How do we develop solutions for a sustainable power system? How can technology contribute to new solutions?? How should academia and industry collaborate to increase the impact of science?

InLifeScience 12 September
The Life Science Cluster, which is one of our partners at Science Impact 2023, is also organising their annual conference InLifeScience – Securing the future at Fornebu 12 September in collaboration with Tekna. UiO is a member of The Life Science Cluster, and all who are affiliated with UiO gets a membership discount. The conference is held in Norwegian.
The health industry value chain – a new tool for dialogue and prioritisation
This spring, the health incubator Aleap invited the UiO Growth House and the entire innovation ecosystem, including health clusters and incubators in Oslo Science Park, to collaborate on developing a value chain for the health industry. The model of the value chain for the health industry is now ready for use.
The model will help shed light on bottlenecks on the way from research and ideas to pharmaceuticals, medical devices and digital therapies that are exported and sold globally. It will help us prioritise when we are to build a sustainable Norwegian health industry and realise the ambitions in the government's new road map for the health industry.
The university is an important contributor in many parts of the value chain. The value chain was presented to a larger audience for the first time at the event "Road map and value chains as important tools for realising the potential in the new Norwegian health industry".
