Requirements

Applicants must be employed at UiO and qualified to apply for FRIPRO with UiO as the project owner, and the application must have a life science theme, see definition. Get in touch if you are in doubt as to whether the topic can be considered as life science. If in doubt, also check with your own department whether you are qualified to apply for FRIPRO or not.

Application process

The process starts with stating applicants and application topic in a simple on-line form.

Category 1) applications are granted consecutively, but funding is transferred to the individual administrative units only after the application to FRIPRO has been sent and a receipt for submission together with a simple overview of expenses has been forwarded to UiO:Life Science.

Category 2) applications are granted on the basis of NFR-reviews being sent to UiO:Life Science. Use of 2) funding shall be reported shortly to UiO:Life Science in January 2027.

Registered applications

17.10.2024: More than 40 potential applications are registered. This means that up to 2,000,000 of the first 2,000,000 will be distributed, if all applications are submitted.
