Interdisciplinary research collaboration after speed-dating
UiO:Life Science supports 14 interdisciplinary research groups, so-called convergence environments. They were selected through application processes that started with speed-dating between researchers from various disciplines.
A group of researchers who met there, but did not get through the eye of the needle, have worked on the project sketches, both individually and together, and have received a total of NOK 24 million from programs in the Research Council of Norway. The sister projects "Prisoner health in healthy prisons: Punishment, marginalization, and access to welfare (PRISONHEALTH)" and "PriSUD NORDIC: Diagnosing and treating substance use in prison" are led by Professor Thomas Ugelvik at the Faculty of Law and researcher Anne Bukten at the Faculty of Medicine. They will, among other things, collaborate on events. The projects are interdisciplinary and combine perspectives from social science, medicine, law and statistics.
