What is it?
The Sandpit program offers the gift of time to step back, think, and collaborate. The Sandpits approach fosters free-thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Early and mid-career researchers will work in diverse groups, brainstorming new ideas with facilitators from the University of Leeds. Pump-priming funding will be available to further develop the winning ideas after the program.
Who can apply?
We invite researchers within Sustainable Energy, Climate and/or Environment with priority to fellows at the University of Oslo. However, we also invite researchers from the following collaborating institutions to apply:
- Members of Oslo Science City: BI, SINTEF, NGI, T?I
- Members of CIENS: CICERO, NIVA, NILU, NINA, NIBR and The Norwegian Meteorological Institute
Commitment
- Two in-person sessions at Holmen Fjordhotell, close to Oslo (two work-days each session):
- 5-6 March 2025
- 8-9 May 2025
- Active online participation between sessions is strongly encouraged.
The program is developed by Samantha Aspinall, University of Leeds, and hosted by the University of Oslo.
