Getting started with GPT UiO

1. Go to the website: gpt.uio.no.
2. Click on the Log in via Feide button and enter your Feide username and password if necessary.
3. Read and accept the terms of use.
4. Before you start the conversation, you can choose a GPT model, either GPT-3.5 turbo or GPT-4. You cannot change the model once you have started a conversation. If you want to switch models, you need to start a new conversation.
5. When you start a new conversation, you will see a range of suggested prompts. You can choose one of these to start, or you can type a question yourself into the message field.
6. To generate a response, press 'Enter' on the keyboard or click the arrow to the right of the message field.

Some practical tips:

• Every time you start a new topic, you should start a new conversation.
• If you want to switch GPT models, you need to start a new conversation.
• You can paste text directly into the conversation window, for example, if you want to translate something. Be aware that there is a maximum limit for the length of the text.
• If you continue an old conversation, the conversation history will be sent so that you can pick up where you left off.
