Synchronize Educloud share to file explorer

It is possible to synchronize the Educloud share storage as a network disk inside Educloud, or on a personal device.

 

Windows

  1. Open `share.educloud.no` and sign in with your Educloud credentials.
  2. Press the button in the bottom left called "Files settings".Educloud share hjemmesiden med "Files settings" markert i boks
  3. Because Educloud utilizes 2fa you have to press the small link on the bottom of the menu. See image below.

  4. In the app password menu you have to give a "app name" and then you will receive a password. Store this password safely since it gives access to the webDAV link.
  5. Open the file explorer, right click "this pc" and then press "add a network location".Viser undermenyen etter ? ha h?yreklikket "this pc" med "add a network location" uthevet.
  6. Select "next" and choose "choose a custom network location". Input the webDAV link from step 3.
  7. When prompted for a username and password use your Educloud username and the "app password" from step 4.
  8. You should now see the Educloud share storage area on the machine.

Linux (RHEL 8)

  1. Open `share.educloud.no` and sign in with your Educloud credentials.

  6. Then you will be asked for an address, it is:
    davs://share.educloud.no/remote.php/dav/files/<YOUR-USERNAME>
    and you have to substitute <YOUR-USERNAME> with your Educloud username.
  7. When prompted for a username and password use your Educloud username and the "app password" from step 4.
  8. You should now see the Educloud share storage area on the machine.
