When your affiliation with UiO ends
When you are no longer affiliated with UiO, your account will be locked, and you will no longer be able to log into UiO's IT services. After a short period, your account, and all content, will be deleted.
A suspended/blocked account means that:
- you will no longer be able to log in on UiO computers using your user name and password.
- you lose access to the home disk (M:) and the documents saved there.
-
You will lose access to UiO's email system, and thus also the emails stored there.
-
You will lose access to all other IT services at UiO, such as Feide and Canvas.
-
You will lose access to OneDrive, MS365, and all other cloud services that you have had access to via your UiO account.
Do this before you lose affiliation / lose access
Retrieve your private data
Make sure to save what you want to keep for later before you lose your affiliation. You won't be able to retrieve data after this point.
You are responsible for retrieving your private data from all UiO systems before access expires upon departure. Note that UiO does not release data after the end of affiliation with the university.
Note that only private data can be retrieved, and data belonging to UiO should not be taken after departure. Data from home areas and email cannot be retrieved without assessing ownership. Research data is the property of UiO and can only be retrieved if permission is granted by the institute or faculty.
