Different rules apply to different target groups.

• Exchange student on bachelor and master level

• International master's degree student

• Student admitted through Samordna opptak (SO)

• Student attending NORA-courses

• Applicants residing in Norway and Nordic citizens who have applied for a Master's degree programme by 15 April

Application deadline

• 1 June for students starting their studies in the autumn semester. 
• 1 November for students starting their studies in the spring semester.

Renting a room in the private market

In Norway, most flats or rooms that are available for rent are published at the website Finn.no, under "Bolig til leie"

• Go to Finn.no - the most popular Norwegian website for housing announcements.
• Go to hybel.no -  website for housing announcements mainly presenting shared apartments solutions and smaller studio apartments. Read more about your rights and regulations when renting a flat/studio apartment (in Norwegian).
