Health and well-being
You can choose among 60 different sports activities in six sport centres offered by SiO Sports, ranging from basketball, swimming, squash to climbing, dance, yoga and more. You can get a customized, individual training programme, participate in group training, and get-started classes. At UiO you can enjoy more than 40 restaurants and cafes on campus with a variety of menus at student friendly prices.
The University of Oslo offers student health centres with doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and dentists through SiO Health. There is also a team of professional counsellors to whom students can turn for advice in academic, financial or personal matters.
Museums and Botanical Garden
Students can enjoy free entrance to UiO's two museums, the Natural History Museum and the Historical Museum.
The Natural History Museum and the Botanical Garden serve as an important recreational area in Oslo.
The Historical Museum also include the Viking Ship Museum where you can see the world's best preserved Viking ships up close.
