How to check if I meet the English language requirement
The English language requirement to studies at bachelor's level (including Norwegian language courses) at Norwegian universities is set by HK-dir (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education). The requirement is listed in the GSU list (Higher Education Entrance Qualification for Persons with Foreign Education) with more specific information in the language requirement list.

- Choose your country from the drop-down menu.
- The GSU list will show if the English requirement is covered by your secondary school or higher education.

You must send your results to the International Summer School, University of Oslo (account number 2331) via the Cambridge English Candidate Results Website. Login using your 'ID number' and 'secret number' and click 'Send my result'. In addition, you must upload your Statement of Results to the application portal. |
Pearson PTE Academic |
Send your score report to the University of Oslo through your Pearson account. In addition, upload a PDF of your score report. Please make sure that your test result is valid at the time of application. The University of Oslo will verify your test result online. |

Certain applicants may be exempt from documenting their English proficiency with the IELTS, TOEFL or University of Cambridge exams. All exemptions must be documented. The following applicants are exempt from submitting an English language test: Norwegian upper secondary schoolApplicants who have passed examination in English foundation course (140 hours/5 periods per week) with a minimum grade of 4 in Norwegian upper secondary school (or an equivalent grade from a Nordic upper secondary school) or passed "programfag" in English (140 hours) from Norwegian upper secondary school. International Baccalaureate (IB)Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme with English at Higher Level (HL) with the minimum score of 4 or English at Standard Level (SL) with the minimum score of 6.
