Application process for self-financed applicants
When to apply
The application portal for self-financed applicants is open from January 2 to March 1.
1. Academic requirements
Academic requirements are different for Master's and Bachelor's courses.
2. Fees
See the prices for course participation, ISS accommodation and extracurricular events.
3. Choose courses
- If you are applying for more than one Bachelor's course, make sure the courses can be combined by checking the course schedule.
- Master's and Bachelor's courses cannot be combined.
4. Gather documents
- Gather all the required documents, and upload them in the application portal ("S?knadsweb") within the application period.
- You can log in to the portal multiple times to upload documents, before the given deadline.

5. Apply Online (closed)
The application portal is closed for new applications
It is still possible to log on to submit documents and check the results.
- There is no "Submit" button in the portal
- You can log in multiple times to complete your application and upload documents

6. Get your application result
We will start to send out admission letters by email from late January.
For Bachelor's and Norwegian language courses: From January the results of your application will be sent to you by email within three weeks after you have uploaded all necessary documents.
For Master's courses: The results of your application will be announced by April 15.
