Each class will choose two class representatives for the Student Council during the first week of classes. Instructors will introduce and conduct the process of choosing representatives for each class.
The purpose Student Council is to encourage extracurricular student initiated activities during the ISS, facilitate contact across classes and academic disciplines, and to promote student welfare at the ISS. It is very much up to the student representatives constituting the Student Council what kind of activities they would like to initiate, and find ways of working together.
Committees of the Student Council
The Student Council is organized by creating committees for different activities. These represent different fields where the members of the Student Council can contribute, and are substantial in creating a meaningful and social ISS summer.
