Interdisciplinary Facilitator Program

INTED's Interdisciplinary Facilitator Program provides learning assistants with training to become facilitators for interdisciplinary student groups.

About the course:

Through the program, participants learn how to support collaboration between disciplines and integrate various perspectives to find solutions.

  • What: Pedagogical training enabling participants to work with and facilitate interdisciplinary student groups.
  • How: Learn methods for facilitating interdisciplinary processes, gain insight into common challenges in interdisciplinary collaboration, and acquire knowledge on establishing a learning environment that fosters interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Why: Support interdisciplinary initiatives, disseminate knowledge about interdisciplinary competence, and establish a research-based interdisciplinary practice.

What do you learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the facilitator’s role in interdisciplinary teaching activities
  • Apply a range of theories and research related to interdisciplinary teaching
  • Facilitate a supportive learning environment for students in interdisciplinary courses
  • Document and reflect upon your own development as a facilitator
