In October I had the opportunity to visit RITMO as part of my master’s degree.

Thanks to Krzysztof Basiński from Medical University in Gdańsk I was able to connect with researchers at RITMO. I had the opportunity to be supervised by Anne-Kristin Solbakk and observe how researchers work at the Center of Excellence in Norway. I learned a lot from wonderful members of the research group. Everyone at RITMO was incredibly helpful, and it was a pleasure to meet you all! I also gained valuable knowledge from fascinating seminars I had the opportunity to attend.

During the first week of my traineeship we took a train to Gothenburg for the Nordic CoE Meet Up 2024. It was a great experience, where I could meet everyone from RITMO, but also from Center for Music in The Brain at Aarhus and Center of Excellence in Music, Mind, Body and Brain at Jyv?skyl?. We participated in seminars and presentations. We also worked in small groups to develop a future research project that could align with our shared interests.

Back in Oslo I have assisted with a pilot study. We tested various research techniques and ensured the program was working correctly. I also had a lot of great conversations with team members about their projects, which provided me with new ideas and knowledge.

During the last week of my stay, I had the opportunity to present my own research project at Food&Paper. It was an excellent chance to receive valuable feedback on areas where I can improve.
