About the participating institutions
The UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Artificial Intelligence and Music (AIM) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is a PhD research program focusing on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and music. It aims to advance the fields of music/audio technology and the creative industries.
The MUSAiC project at KTH Royal Institute of Technology explores the impact of AI on music by analyzing and broadening AI's role in listening, composition, performance, and criticism. It aims to develop new methods for understanding and improving AI in music, fostering innovative human-AI partnerships.
RITMO Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time, and Motion is a Norwegian Centre of Excellence focusing on rhythm as a structuring mechanism for the temporal dimensions of human life. It comprises researchers from the Departments of Musicology, Psychology, and Informatics at the University of Oslo.
