Abstract
Musical emotions are at the center of the musical experience. They can be characterized through different dimensions and categories that will be discussed in the light of research in psychology and neuroscience. One of the origins of musical emotions is probably rooted in vocal emotions and the different behavioral patterns associated with emotions. An integrative vision of the different factors at the origin of musical emotions will be developed and discussed.
