Text books

As text book for the course we use a set of written lecture notes:

Modern Quantum Mechanics,  Lecture notes - FYS4110

The lecture notes can be downloaded from the course pages.

Some additional lecture notes, with material that is included in the lectures but not covered in the main lecture notes are in preparation. A preliminary version is available for download on the course page, and it will be updated when this point in the lectures is reached.

As supplementary texts we suggest the following books,

Michel Le Bellac: Quantum physics, Cambridge University Press.

Luca Salasnich: Quantum Physics of Light and Matter

Bernard Zygelman: A First Introduction to Quantum Computing and Information

They cover parts of the subjects lectured in the course, and include also much additional material. For the last two, you should have access to download the text with UiO account.
