BIO4060 – Plant ecophysiology
Course description
Course content
The course run every second spring semester. Next time the course is offered is spring 2008.
The course gives an introduction to biological, physical and chemical factors as the underlying mechanisms of the processes in the physiological ecology of plants. Topics treated include stress physiology, senescence, photosynthesis, and plant pathology.
Learning outcome
The course provide insights and knowledge of interactions between photosynthetic organisms under the influence of biotic and abiotic factors.

Teaching
The course is given in the spring term, and includes lectures (45 h), colloquia and laboratory work (20 h).
Examination
Approved participation in the teaching is necessary in order for the student to be eligible for the final exam. One written examination at the end of the semester (3 hours). Letter grade (A-F).

Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.
Mikael Ohlson is the external auditor for this course till spring term 2007.
Evaluation
The course is subject to continuous evaluation. At regular intervals we also ask students to participate in a more comprehensive evaluation.
