Dear all!
In the last lecture, you asked me some more exam-type question to practice at home under exam conditions. I have prepared some here.
Please feel free to use these, in addition to the mock exam already available, for your practice ahead of the exam. Also, a reminder that if you send me a mock exam for comments, I am always happy to give you feedback. :-)
Happy revision!
Silvia

Dear IN4340 students,
Hope you are well! As promised, we are going to work with some exam-type questions in the seminar today. Please find here a mock exam document, consisting of four questions, just as your exam!
A reminder that in the IN4340 exam on 6 December, you will have three hours to answer two out of of four available questions. All questions have the same wight on the final mark.
Look forward to this first simulation of your exam, and to any questions you may have on it!
All the best,
Silvia
Dear IN4340 students,
Here is the link to E-Helse i Norge, the conference that Johan mentioned during his guest lecture today: https://ehin.no/2022
The conference takes place on 8-9 November, and the programme features many themes on digitalisation in the public sector. As Johan mentioned, there will be fee waivers for UiO students and staff, please do drop an email to him (johansa@ifi.uio.no) or myself if you wish to attend the conference (or part of it) and apply for one.
See you on Wednesday!!
Silvia
Hei all students of IN4340!
This is just a kind reminder of two points mentioned today: first, on Wednesday 21st September we will have the first case simulation, which will face us all with a real-life research scenario. If you cannot join it, please do drop an email to me or Josue, josuekw@ifi.uio.no, so that we can make the groups according to numbers.
Our first case activity will take us to Rwanda (at least in the simulation!) No preparation is required, but if you wish to get acquainted with the use of technology to combat COVID-19 in Rwanda, which we will discuss, here is a short video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7tnZoQa_nI&t=823s
Second, our esteemed guest speaker Ragnhild Bass?e Gundersen, whom I'd like to thank again for a great lecture on COVID-19 tracing in Norway, is gonna speak tomorrow at this event on Smittestop...

Hello everyone,
A warm welcome to IN4340, "Engaged Qualitative Research Methods"! In this course we will learn about engaged research, a participatory form of research that we use to study real-world problems from the perspectives of key stakeholders. We will go through different methods for conducting engaged qualitative research, and apply them to field cases from the domain of digital health. This will equip you to write a solid research proposal for your MSc thesis.
This course is assessed with a written exam that will take place in December. Essential readings are available in the course schedule, and a full pensum with supplementary readings and a list of recommended articles can be downloaded here.
If you have any questions ahead of the beginning of the course, or at any t...
