I hope to see you all tomorrow at 12:15 in Caml. As I wrote before, it is mandatory to attend tomorrow, because all important information, including exam information, will be given. We will also make groups. There will be no recordings of our meetings! The slides will be made available after the lecture. Don't forget to bring your favourite notebook and pen.

The final list with mandatory literature is now published. You can find it on the left side of the course webpage.

Pensum for this year consists of 22 items: articles, chapters, videos, and one comic strip. Check for every meeting what the required reading is and read or watch it before you come to class.

In this course, we write lecture notes by hand in a paper notebook. This is one of the methods used in the course for many years now. If you have a special reason why this is not possible, please send me an email. I will bring some extra (boring) notebooks and pens for those who forgot to bring their own - no problem. You can use your laptops and phones for all other activities in class.

Just to make sure you have all the requirements for the course: It is mandatory to participate in 80% of the lectures, in two presentations, and a final project. The first lecture is also mandatory because you will get there all the course information, including exam information, and we will make groups. If you can't fulfill these requirements, please de-register yourself for the course or send me an email asap: majava@ifi.uio.no Thank you!

Welcome students and PhD candidates! In a few weeks, I will post here some more information. If you already know you are taking the course, send me a short email and if possible some info about master or PhD project or motivation for taking the course. This helps me to find interesting examples and activities. Not required of course! Success with your end of semester exams! Greetings, Maja
