Due to sick leave we do not have anymore  the resources to process assignment 2. As we said before the questions in assignment 2 are typical examination questions and should help you in your preparation for the examination.

Exam procedure

The exam consists of 30 minutes preparation time and 30 minutes oral examination, the two times are directly after each other.

At the preparation time: It is required that you first read and sign the Requirement of Confidentiality, declaring your acceptance of it before you get the questions.

No helping materials, notes, books or references are allowed during the exam (meaning during both 30 minutes of the exam: preparation & oral exam).
During the preparation, the student may read the questions and prepare written notes for use during the oral exam.
Any questions related to the exam questions have to be taken up and clarified during the 30 minutes of the oral exam itself.
During the oral exam, the student shall present the answers to the questions, and answer additional or clarifying/detailing questions from the examiners and/or censors.

The deadline to withdraw from the exam is 14 days before 26.11.2025. 

Please let studieinfo@ifi.uio.no know as soon as possible if you do not plan to take the exam this year in November 2025.

1 week before the exam Ifi-administration will send out the list to all students that have qualified to take the exam:  

Who has exam on which of the 3 days (but only with tentative times during this day). After this list is released, it is not possible to change it anymore.
At the day of your exam (26.11. or 27.11. or 28.11.2025, the routine is the same for all 3 days): all students for this day have to meet at 11:00AM precisely (i.e., latest!) at Ifi-reception (4.floor, entrance B), we will call your name and register which students are there.

Students that do not show up will loose their exam slot, and the last students of this day will move forward to this/these earlier slot(s).
First after this procedure the Ifi-admin. will make the final list with the final exam times for each student and post them on the wall at Ifi-reception.

Please send email to studieinfo@ifi.uio.no (and goebel@ifi.uio.no), if you have an exam conflict on certain days with the IN5040 exam days.

We failed all candidates that did not delivered the first mandatory assignments. Among those were also several that passed the assignments in previous years. We received today a list of the candidates from administration and changed the grading results from failed to passed in devilry.
