You can find the marking scheme here. The examination question paper is here .
If you have any comments to the marking scheme (or the examination questions) send them to course instructor as soon as possible (no later than 21st December).
We plan to release the results of the examination in the first week of January 2024 (Usually the deadline is 3 weeks after the examination, but due to the holiday period we extend it with one week).
There will be no "Lecturer's visit" during the examination. If you have questions regarding the text of the examination tasks, please contact an invigilator. They will relay your question to the course instructor and get a feedback.
The course instructor will be available for such inquiries during the first two hours of the examination (i.e. 09:00-11:00).
Wish you all the best with the examination!
Examination questions are given in English. You can provide answers either in English or Norwegian.
All examination questions are based on the contents presented in the lecture slides.
Lecture videos elaborate and help you understand the contents in the slides.
Note that all slides have corresponding videos, except for the slides on diffusion models discussed under generative models.
The format of the examination is very similar to the examinations of the last two years.
Examination is conducted at Silurveien 2.
The exact examination hall you need to be at is given in StudentWeb.
Please plan to be there 30-45 minutes earlier that the scheduled start 0900 in order to avoid unnecessary stress.
Do not forget to bring an approved ID (eg: passport, national ID or drivers license) with you.
Examination is conducted digitally in Inspera.
For each question you can optionally upload handwritten equations or drawings. The instructions for doing so will be provided in Inspera. But you can preview them here or here.. (Note: Please do NOT use this facility for text, just type text in the provided space in Inspera)
Examination is conducted digitally in Inspera.
All printed and handwritten examination support materials are allowed, as well as an approved calculator. That means that you can take any notes or books with you to the examination.
In addition, all the lecture slides are uploaded to the examination. They will be available as resources in Inspera.
The uploaded lecture slides are packaged in 6 PDF files as in this. It is advisable to make an index that for example shows which topics are contained by which files and on which pages. You can take the index with you to the examination.
Evaluation of all mandatory exercises is now completed. Please contact the course instructor , if you have not got feedback for the submitted exercises on Canvas.
On 1. December 09:15-12:00, there will be a session on past examination questions. Note that this does not appear on the timeplan.
We are approaching the completion of the course. Some important dates:

You can find a package of past exams and model answers (from 2019-2022) here.
Due to unforseen circumstances, evaluation of mandatory exercise 1 has been delayed. Some of you may have already received the feedback, but when all submissions have been evaluated, a message will be published here.
Some of you may experience that lecture videos are not available on the "timeplan". Videos have been uploaded, but due to an error of the publishing systems they do not appear. Problem has been reported to the IT department.
In the meantime you can try to download videos from last years (2022) "timeplan"
There is an error in the file "test_installation.py" line 3. Please change that line to
env = gym.make('CarRacing-v2')
That is we use "v2" instead of "v0".
You can download the exercise package from here.
Submission instructions will be published on Canvas.
