KJM5010 – The course has been permanently terminated as of april 2008 - Analysis and structure determination II (LC- NMR)
Course content
Coupled liquid chromatography (LC) and Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). Requirements of the chromatographic system and mobile phases. NMR detection techniques. Micro LC-NMR. Applications.
Learning outcome
The students shall learn enough about LC-NMR to be able to develop strategies for solving practical analytical problems. The student shall master the complex LC-NMR instrumentation belonging to the institute and shall be able to operate complex LC- and NMR-software.The students shall learn enough about LC-NMR to be able to develop strategies for solving practical analytical problems. Admission
Students who are admitted to study programmes at UiO must each semester register which courses and exams they wish to sign up for in Studentweb.
If you are not already enrolled as a student at UiO, please see our information about admission requirements and procedures.
Prerequisites
Recommended previous knowledge
KJM5250 – Organic NMR Spectroscopy. The subject is based on general knowledge in chromatograpy and NMR-spectroscopy.
Teaching
The course is offered for the first time in 2008. It is thought when at least 3 students are signed up for the teaching. It is given as an intensive subject over one week with 30 hours instrumentation work and work shops. Total work load 60-70 hours.
Examination
Continous evaluation during the course. Pass/fail.
