The sylabus from 2013 is given below. We will mainly follow this plan, but there might be some changes.
Chapter 1: Mainly background material
Chapter 2: 2.1-2.2 (2.3 gives some more detailed background on MCMC as discussed in chapter 8, but is not part of the sullabus)
Chapter 3: 3.1 and 3.2 are mainly background material for later chapters. Part of sullabus is 3.3, 3.4 (not 3.4.6 and not 3.4.8), 3.6
Chapter 4: 4.1 (not 4.1.6), 4.2 (not 4.2.8)
Chapter 5: 5.1 and 5.3 (not 5.3.1)
Chapter 6: 6.1 (not 6.1.6 and 6.1.7), 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.6.
Chapter 7: 7.1
Chapter 8: Only the brief overview given in lecture
Chapter 9. 9.1 and 9.3
For those not having too much statistics background, there will probably be a need on reading some stuff yourself.
