The doors to the Microbiological laboratory closes at 15.30, but you can ring the phone number listed om the pole outside. There should be staff present till approx. 21.00

Dear students!
We understand that you are concerned about the unfortunate situation that you all need to undergo MRSA screening in order to get access to clinical teaching at the University Hospitals.
Some of you have been exposed to one or more persons that are either carriers or infected by MRSA during the introductory courses in Module 6. Unfortunately, we cannot say anything more about the specific situations. Based on this, the University Hospitals require that all students on the module need to be screened before coming back to clinical teaching. Clinical teaching is a very important part of Module 6, and participation is a prerequisite to take the exams. If some of you should test positive and would need to undergo eradication before being granted access to the clinic, then the module leader and the leaders of the different subjects will do all they can to make sure that you are able...

Dear students,
Thank you for all the admissions you have written this semester ?. The doctors in the barnemottak/ Emergency department are really pleased with your effort. I do hope they also have provided you with insight and knowledge in pediatric thinking and examination. There are four admissions that have not been picked up by you, and the students have received a separate mail from me. They will have to be picked up before the exam. To all the others – you have “passed” your “admission-writing” and are ready to sit the OSCE.
All the best for the exam. Remember, we are not out to get you, trick you or fool you. We want you to show us what you have learnt this semester. Read the assignment and ask if you have questions.

I found a little booklet (around 8 x 12 cm) that...
A registration-desk will be set up in front of the entrance to the seminar rooms. You need to bring a picture ID (student card, passport, bank card with photo, driver license). Line up to register and have your ID ready. You will then receive a white coat and a candidate number to pin on your coat.
All candidates will leave their personal belongings (including your wristwatch) behind in the seminar rooms. You may bring food, beverages and something to read. Transparent bags to carry this in are available at the registration-desk. After a short information session, you will be guided into the closed area where the examination takes place.
Group 1 will have to wait 1h 15min after the examination before you can leave.
Group 3 will have to wait 30 min after the examination before you can leave.
Group 4 will have to wait 2h 40 min after the examination before you can leave.

Through 3 digital meetings, we guide you through defining your clinical question, finding the right literature, interpreting the evidence and finding answers for your patient. At the 4th meeting, you present your PEARLS to us and your fellow PEARLS students. All the information you need to complete PEARLS is available on CANVAS.

Welcome to the Pediatrics :-), which of course is the most interesting and greatest specialty in medicine. We are of course not biased at all ;-)
We have prepared an Introduction Course for you on the 16th and 17th of August to give you a taste of pediatrics is all about! Each student is assigned to a half day course where we will go through the basic things that you are going to learn this semester. This will be a very intense half day for you! There will be 5 stations were two groups (eight students) will rotate through the stations having 20-25 min lectures (and only 5 mins breaks) on each of the following subjects:

Please note the following:
For the first time some of our students (10) will attend Module 6 from Campus South. They will have all clinical teaching at S?rlandet Hospital, but will follow parts of the plenary sessions in Oslo via Zoom
- Students are expected to attend plenary sessions in person. Only students present in allocated rooms in Ahus and Campus South can attend streamed teaching.
- Students are not permitted to log on from anywhere else.
- All plenary sessions take place in Rikshospitalet. When you also see rooms in Ahus and Campus South listed, this shows that the session will be streamed....
