Course content
The individual reading list is a list of self-selected curriculum of 1400 pages. The curriculum must be directely linked to the master thesis. The selected litterature could for example be articles providing emprircal or theoretical perspectives for the theory chapter of the master thesis.
Learning outcome
The objective of the course is to provide the students with a thorough theoretical and empirical base related to the topic of their thesis.

Access to teaching
A student who has completed compulsory instruction and coursework and has had these approved, is not entitled to repeat that instruction and coursework. A student who has been admitted to a course, but who has not completed compulsory instruction and coursework or had these approved, is entitled to repeat that instruction and coursework, depending on available capacity.
Examination
- The reading list must not contain literature which has been a part of the curriculum for courses the student is taking or has taken previously.
- Literature used as source for exam papers submitted previously or same semester cannot be included in the reading list.
- The reading list must be approved by supervisor well in time before exam starts (at the latest two weeks before).
- 2 copies of the reading list is to be handed in together with 3 copies of your home exam. This ensures the grading commission receives both the exam and the reading list for information.
Language of examination
The exam for this course is a 2-week take home exam, in English. The exam must be answered in English. Maximum length of exam is 20 pages incl. notes, not references. Letter size 12, line spacing 1.5. The exam question is handed out at 10.00 am on the day of the exam and must be submitted at 2.00 pm 14 days later.

Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.
