The Nature of Dark Energy

In the near future, upcoming surveys will be able to probe structure formation with unprecedented precision and to put tight constraints on the cosmological parameters, including those that describe physical properties of the dark energy. In light of this, this recent and ongoing research focuses on precision cosmology by performing N-body simulations, consistently studying of dark matter, dark energy/modified gravity theories up to non-linear scales and identifying viable models by comparing the results to observational data.
