What is ‘Nature Conversations’??
The ongoing ecological crisis affects everyone in different ways, and many people experience feelings of worry, grief, frustration, guilt, anger, confusion and hope. Nature Conversations aims to be a safe space to share these experiences, thoughts and feelings related to nature with others who feel some of the same as you. Together, we try to get in touch with our own climate and nature engagement and explore different expressions and how we can create positive change in ourselves and the world around us.
Rather than group therapy, the conversation group aims to be a shared exploration that can help you feel less alone and facilitate emotionally sustainable engagement and activism. The conversation groups are based on the understanding that psychological and existential reactions to the ongoing ecological crisis should not be viewed as pathological, but as a natural response to a real problem.
The conversation group meets five Thursdays at 18:30-20:00. The focus of the conversations may change slightly from time to time, but will have a fixed structure consisting of a check-in, a longer group conversation and a final reflection exercise. The meetings will be facilitated by two professionals and Birgitte Fredriksen (student humanist in Oslo) and Tuva Br?in, at Gr?nt Kontor in Kristian Ottesens hus.
Participation is FREE, and light refreshments will be provided.
