‘Sister, What Grows Where Land Is Sick?’ by Franciska Eliassen, is a powerful and beautiful coming-of-age drama about sisterhood, living with the threat of devastating climate change and hoping for a more beautiful world. We get to experience the main character Vera, and her universe full of beauty and light, but also a darkness and rage she doesn't know how to handle.

Join us after the film for a conversation with Birgitte Fredriksen, Tuva Br?in, and Anne Anita Lilleb? about the psychological and existential reactions to the climate crisis, and how to tackle and express these thoughts, feelings and experiences. What are the entanglements between the body, mind and nature? Birgitte and Tuva are also the facilitators for “Nature Conversations”, a conversation group that explores concerns with climate change and nature loss. During the conversation you can learn more about this project.

The film is in Norwegian, with English subtitles. The conversation after the film will be in English.
