We at the Green Office are organising the Climate Competition this March! The competition won't just be for students at UiO, we'll also be competing to be the best university against students at UiB, NMBU and Nord university. Let's show them that we're the best at sustainability!
What is the competition about?
Many people want to live more sustainably, but don't know how. The climate competition provides concrete tips and simple steps you can take in everyday life. The aim of the competition is to cut the most CO?e by carrying out climate-friendly activities in your everyday life, such as cycling to university, throwing away less food and repairing something that's broken instead of buying a new one, and logging it in the Ducky Challenge web app. In addition, we're hosting many cool events for you to join!
But you won't be doing this alone! The climate competition is a team competition, where the team is your study programme!
Get your friends and fellow students on board:
Prizes
When the competition is over, we will hold a festive prize ceremony and give prizes to individuals and the teams that have cut the most emissions!
- The main prize is festival tickets to Piknik i Parken!
- A cabin trip for your study programme (up to 3000 NOK)
- SiO gift cards
What is Ducky Challenge?
The climate competition has been developed by The Future in Our Hands and the company Ducky. In the web app, you enter the various sustainable actions you take, and Ducky calculates how much CO2 equivalents you have saved compared to the average Norwegian. Its not possible to get minus points. You can also get tips on other actions you can take to save emissions.
