Did you know that one third of all food produced goes to waste? And the average Norwegian wastes more than 40 kilos of food every year!

The Green Office is on a mission to fight food waste at UiO! Drop by our office to find a community food sharing fridge, where you can place any excess food you have and take anything to save it from becoming waste! Food donations can be leftovers from events, extra groceries you don’t need – anything really!

Guidelines for use of the fridge:

  • Eat food from the fridge at your own risk (look, taste, and smell!)
  • Donate food you would serve to your friends or family

Our Foodsharing fridge is inspired by a foodsharing success story at NMBU, where Foodsharing ?s has found a great way to deal with the food waste problem locally, and create a community around fighting food waste.
