About the university art collection
UiO's art collection reflects the university's long history and cultural significance. As Norway's oldest university collection, it seamlessly integrates both historical and contemporary works, remaining relevant to today's students, staff and visitors.
The collection acknowledges the natural place of art at the university, connecting surroundings, history and academic life. Its goals are to facilitate art experiences, create inspiring environments and make art accessible.
