What is Circle U. and Circle U. Café?
Circle U. is our European University Alliance, and your chance to cooperate with colleagues all over Europe. Circle U. Café is our meeting place at UiO and takes place at Scene HumSam in Georg Sverdrups hus. At Circle U. Café we discuss topics relevant for European higher education and research.
Students as co-researchers
Active student involvement has profound consequences for the future of higher education. How can students be actively engaged in research – and how can their research experiences be brought into university seminars?
Learn from Circle U. colleagues
Researchers from three Circle U. universities will give examples of how they have involved students in research as part of their courses and discuss:
- How can students analyse research papers and use their analyses actively in university seminars?
- What are some benefits and challenges of inviting students as researchers in research projects during and after their education?
- How can students become co-researchers in ongoing research, bring their analysis into seminars and share findings with peers?
Live panel debate
We will have a live panel debate, where we will take questions from the audience (live and online) and discuss how researchers can create space for students in their projects and seminars and what kind of support they need to do so.
