Today 30 November, the government introduced new Covid-19 measures

The rules and recommendations for infection control, quarantine, testing, isolation, travel, etc. are regularly updated on helsenorge.no, and UiO?s units are advised to refer there for information:

Exams and studies

UiO has planned for an uncertain infection situation and has retained infection control measures in the examination rooms in Silurveien. Only half of the seats in the halls are used, and there is at least 1 m distance between the candidates during the exam. Approximately 15% of all exams this autumn are school exams with supervision, while 85% of all exams are other forms of exams such as home exams / portfolio / semester assignments etc.

Physical presence v. remote work

The University of Oslo follows national and municipal rules and adapts our activities to the Covid-19 situation. With regards to physical presence v. the use of home office, it is up to the individual line manager in dialogue with the employee to assess this on the basis of the company's need for physical presence seen in relation to individual needs.

Please refer to UiO?s guidelines for remote work.

Christmas and parties

We recommend that units facilitate for Christmas parties in accordance with Covid-19 infection rules and recommendations if possible to uphold social distancing.

Face masks

The units must consider whether to recommend face masks where it is not possible to uphold social distancing.
