The election for representatives to the University Board takes place from May 19 to 23, 2025. This year, candidates will be elected for all employee voting groups:
- Two representatives for permanent scientific staff
- One representative for temporary scientific staff
- One representative for technical-administrative staff
Students elect their own candidates. Additionally, four external representatives are appointed by the Ministry of Education.
Nominate Candidates
Everyone with voting rights can suggest candidates within their own voting group, and self-nominations are allowed. However, no one can propose more than one candidate. Remember that the person being proposed must be willing to run for election.
"As a representative on the university board, employees have the opportunity to influence how the university is managed and developed. We hope that many people will be interested in running for a position in the university's highest governing body," says electoral committee chair Marit Halvorsen.
Candidate proposals must be submitted to the electoral committee by April 22 at 9:00 AM.
