This year’s edition of Oslo Chamber music Festival will be closed with a star-filled moment in the university Aula.
The night’s main piece is Ernest Amédée Chaussons Concert – in practice sextet – for solo violin, piano and string quartet. The piece will be performed by Vilde Frang, Belcea Quartet and pianist Bertrand Chamayou, who are touring together in Europe this summer.
Tonight’s program also include a few of Chausson’s lieder, performed by one of the world’s absolute foremost artists, Barbara Hannigan, together with the star pianist Bertrand Chamayou.
The festival then fades out with Chaussons Chanson Perpétuelle – a French Liebestod – so incredibly beautiful and incredibly sad with the woman who drowns herself by heartache.
